BADIM 6: My Every Day Makeup!

Hello Sweet Peas!

Welcome to day 6 of Blog a Day in May!

I’ve recently invested in some equipment to improve the quality of my photos and my videos. I figured a great way to test out my new software would be to create a video for Blog a Day in May! Bear with, I’m still getting used to the new tech!

Today I thought I’d share with you my everyday makeup routine and the products I use!

Primer – For a primer, I’ve been using the Sports FX Spray Primer. This stuff is amazing at keeping everything in place. It’s a lot lighter than a cream primer which means my makeup doesn’t go on feeling heavy or caked on. It’s also very refreshing to apply, which feels great at half six in the morning when I’m half asleep and applying my face for the day.

Concealer- Concealer is a must-have in my makeup bag. With my messed up sleep schedule, the bags under my eyes are a little insane some days. I’ve been using the Freedom Pro Conceal & Correct palette, it has a yellow concealer which counteracts the purple of my eyebags. I then use Maybelline Eraser Eye. I’m not loving this concealer, I thought it would be a lot better coverage than it is but it is a very convenient product to grab when you’re in a rush (which I am every morning!).

Powder – To seal it all in I’ve been using transparent rice powder by Affect. I received this in my April Glossybox and it’s pretty good! I much prefer this to banana powder. Because I am so pale I always mix the banana powder with talc, otherwise, I get an orange glow to my face. This Affect powder is much more suited to my skin tone.

Eyebrows –For eyebrows, I have been using Urban Decay’s eyeshadows in Naked 2 and Faint. And yes, I am well aware my eyebrows are in desperate need of plucking!

Eyes – To prep my eyes I use Revolution Focus & Fix Eye Primer. This product is amazing and at a seriously low price. This primer makes my eyeshadow stay perfectly in place for only a few pounds. It’s also pretty much the same tone as my concealer so I sometimes apply it on its own to my eyelids for a natural look (but still hiding the veins in my lids!).

Eyeshadow – Eyeshadow wise I have been living out of my Morphe palette since Christmas. I have the 35T palette, which is a combination of browns, purples and golds. I am in love. I use a lighter shade in the crease before using a darker colour in the outer corners. I then blend these out and use a bit of concealer on the centre of my lids to neaten them up.

Eyeliner – For eyeliner, I first go in with a black eyeshadow (Urban Decay is my favourite) and a square eyeliner brush to create my wing. I then go over this with my Steve Laurant Precision Tip Liner. I find this technique makes creating a wing much easier and faster. Plus, it pretty much makes it perfect every time.

Mascara – I have recently been loving L’Oreal Miss Baby Roll Mascara. This puppy keeps my lashes in place all day, no matter what I am doing!

Contour – To contour my nose I use a small dome brush and Urban Decay Naked 2, highlighting with Foxy from the same palette. For face contour, I’m currently using the Safari Bronzer by Model Launcher. I don’t really use highlighter these days. I once used really shimmery powders that were brighter than my future. But these days I feel this trend is on its way out…for me at least.

Lips – I’ve been applying a thin layer of Steve Laurant’s Nude Pop Lip Gloss. It’s not my favourite formula but the colour is really natural and perfect for every day.

So these are the products I am using on a daily basis. What products are you loving for every day? Let me know in the comments!
