BADIM 4: My Favourite Facemasks!

Hello Sweet Peas!

Welcome to Day 4 of Blog a Day in May! Today I thought I would take you through my favourite affordable face masks. I use face masks several times a week to keep my skin from breaking out, and here are the ones I use most regularly and why I use them!

1. Quick Fix Facials- Mega Moisture Mask.

This mask is packed full of moisture and does wonders for the dry patches of skin that tend to appear around my nose and the sides of my face during the months when the seasons begin to change. Although it’s really hydrating it isn’t thick or heavy so it doesn’t take forever to dry. It also has a really nice cooling effect after application which feels really refreshing. This mask is around £5 in the UK and can be found in most drug stores. Really recommend this mask for anyone with dry skin.

2. L’Oreal – Pure Clay Detox Mask.

This mask is amazing for oily skin. I tend to only apply this mask to my T zone (forehead, bridge of my nose, cheekbones and chin), as this is where my skin becomes oily. I wouldn’t recommend using this mask on dry skin as it will dry it out further and potentially make it flaky. The charcoal in the mask pulls all the oil out of your pores, leaving you with super soft skin afterwards. This mask was around £10, depending on if you get in-store or online.

3. L’Oreal – Pure Clay Blemish Rescue Mask.

On the occasions, I do find myself breaking out (generally if I am having a stressful month), this mask is my go to. It contains blue clay which unclogs your pores and helps clear acne. Like the other clay mask, it dries the skin, but it is more gentle and dries up the spots helping to heal them quickly. Highly recommend for acne prone skin!

4. Bioaqua – Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask.

I’m not sure if this mask actually has any real benefits on the skin, other than making it feel clean. But it really is a fun mask to use. After applying a thin layer, the mask starts to bubble and foam up. It really tickles and is a funny sight to watch in the mirror while you wait. It never dries so once you’ve had it on for 5 minutes or so, you rub the mask and turn the bubbles back into a gel and the wash of with warm water. I got this mask as a gift but you can find them in TKMAX for around £8. I would only really recommend this as a novelty mask. It would also make a good as a gift.

5. MudMasky – Sleep Repair Renewal Mask.

I received this mask in one of this year’s Glossy Boxes. As the name suggests, you apply this mask before you go to sleep and leave it on overnight. The mask restores the PH balance in your skin, repairing and hydrating it. After applying a thin layer to the skin it absorbs into the skin quickly so you don’t go to sleep with a sticky face. This mask is more on the pricey side at £61 from MudMasky.com, but if you can get a sample of this I highly recommend trying it out for yourself!

6. Sheet Masks

I am a huge fan of sheet masks, simply because they are easy to use. If I’ve had a long day they’re really convenient to put on and take off after 20 minutes or so without having to wash the product off your face. A quick pamper when you’re short on time. I’m currently really like the Boots own Charcoal and Willow Bank sheet mask. They are very inexpensive but contain beneficial ingredients.

7. Bioaqua – Collagen Nourish Lip Membrane.

These fancy little things are from Korea, they’re made of a jelly material and are like sheet masks for your lips. My lips are awful for drying out and often crack and bleed, especially in the winter. I place one of these on my lips for around 20 minutes once a week and they give my lips the added hydration they desperately need. You can get these on Amazon for a few pounds.

These are my favourite facemasks which all have a different job to do for my face but all work together to keep my skin clear.
