Happy Saturday, Sweet Peas!
Our phones have become a huge part of our day to day lives and the more and more apps are being released to help us with problems we didn’t even know we had.
I have to admit, I’m attached to my phone a lot of the time and I’ve collected a few apps which I use pretty much every day to help keep me balanced in both body and mind. If you starting to feel overwhelmed with the new year, here are a few apps that might help.
Kindle – I’ve had a kindle for years, but it is really convenient to have access to my books on my phone. I like to be able to read wherever I am and at a moments notice. If you’ve never heard of Kindle, its an e-reader app associated with Amazon. As well as being able to purchase many popular books for a discounted price, you can get many of the classics for free!
Calm – Calm is a fabulous app for steady a busy mind. It contains guided meditations, relaxing music and even bedtime stories. There are meditations for lots of different moods, whether you want something to help you sleep or something to get you started for the day. This app can be downloaded for free and you can access a lot of the app’s features for free. It’s a great app to try if you find your mind getting a little busy.
Audible – Much like Kindle, this app is associated with Amazon but rather than e-books, Audible has audiobooks. It is a monthly subscription service that gives you an e-book of your choosing every month. I’ve reached a stage in my life where I am always very busy and I don’t have the time or energy to sit down and read as much as I used too. This app allows me to enjoy books without having to take the time to sit down and read. I personally like to listen to my books whilst I am walking to work. This app is great as most of the most popular books are available on audiobook.
Pinterest – Somedays its hard to find inspiration. Pinterest is great for getting the creative juices flowing, no matter what it is you are doing. Sometimes I like to sit for a while and browse this app, even if it’s just for quotes to get me motivated to work out or feel good about myself. It’s an app I think everyone should have on their phone.
Eve – I’ve mentioned this app on here before. For the full article have a look here. Eve is basically an app that helps you track your menstrual cycle. From the time you ovulate, your most fertile days and when your period will be. It’s extremely helpful both if you are trying to get pregnant and trying to avoid it. It also helps you keep track of your period. It’s really easy to use and because it’s on your phone it’s convenient and always on your person (as long as your phone is).
These are some of the apps that have been really helping me keep everything together this year. All of these apps are available in the app store and google play.
