Blogmas 22: The Christmas Tag!

I’m going to be honest. Today is a pretty crappy day for me. We all have those days, days where we have to do things we wish we didn’t have to do. Today is one of those days. So I apologise that this is a bit of a cop out post.

But, I don’t want to not post a blog post, so I am going to another tag post and I thought it only right to do the Christmas Tag!

What are your favourite Christmas movies? – You can check out the full list of my favourite Christmas movies on one of my previous Blogmas posts here. But my favourite Christmas movie has to be Home Alone!

Do you open presents Christmas Eve or Christmas morning? – I don’t know anyone who opens their presents on Christmas Eve! This being said, my mum always gives us new PJ’s on Christmas Eve. But we always open our presents throughout Christmas day, my mum is really good at making them last until the evening (I don’t know how she does it!).

Do you have a favourite Christmas memory? – Year and years ago, back when my siblings and I were really small, we would wake up Christmas morning (around 2 am!). Our parents had a rule that we weren’t allowed into their bed until at least 7am (I now understand it was because they had only just gone to bed themselves!). So, to pass the time, my brother and sister would sneak into my room and we would have a little sleepover, playing board games and quietly watching films until we finally fell back to sleep for another hour or so. These days my mum has to call up to us because its 9am and we haven’t moved from the bed. Although this will be the first year my sister and I are not home for Christmas morning! Times have changed, but I will always cherish the memory of those Christmas sleepovers.

Favourite festive food? – In a previous Blogmas post, I mentioned that Christmas is the one day of the year that I will eat meat. So this is my favourite meal of the year. I love pigs in blankets and not allowing myself to eat them all year makes them taste even better on Christmas day!

Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions? – Not that I’m trying to get you to read all my other Blogmas posts, but I mentioned some of my traditions in a previous post here. But one of my favourite Christmas Eve traditions is to have a bubble bath before bed. This year I’ve bought the Lush Glitter Fairy Bath Bomb to use on Christmas eve! Its gonna be lush!

What tops your tree? – I have a funny little-naked angel on the top of my tree. I’ve had her for nearly 20 years and I can’t bear to part with her. To see some of my other decorations, check out my blogmas post here.

As a kid, what was the one present you always asked for but never received? – As a kid, every year I asked my parents for a kitten. Since we got our dogs 9 years ago, I stopped asking, but secretly I hope once I have my own place my mum will buy me one for Christmas. Fingers crossed.

What is the best part of Christmas for you? – The best part of Christmas for me is when my family opens the presents I bought them. I love watching their reactions to the gifts I carefully picked out for them. I can get quite emotional when wrapping my presents because I hope they really like them. My family are the most important thing in my life, my mum especially, I love to give even them something to show how much I love them.
